Diving

Who is staying up way to late watching the Olympics??
We sure are!!

Hannah is LOVING the springboard diving. She was diving off the couch after watching the women Saturday. I am loving that they play them until 5am. It makes night feedings go by fast.

Dan is enjoying his classes. Although this mornings class was canceled. He got to enjoy a morning off. We doubt it will happen again.

Overall, not much has happened here. Just a lot of TV watching and playing with toys.
Hope you are all having a great week.

2 mo. apt.

Well...Calvin went this afternoon for his 2 month apt. And he weighed in at a whopping 14.1lbs!!!!!!!!!! Lets all say "Fatty!" together :)

He is fine and checked out great. He wont have to go back until he is 4 months. Hannah will go then as well for her 4 year.

Are you all having fun watching the Olympics? I have to admit that I am very amazed at the water polo. I can't even begin to imagine staying afloat that long!! But whats up with their hats? They look like bumble bees. And I must say that men shouldn't do tumble gymnastics!! They should leave that to the girls...

Hannah learned how to water color today! We had to take the van to Indiana to get a tire patched. And I bought her some craft supplies while we were waiting. Water colors being one of them. She is pretty good at it! I had to put ALL 3 of her painting on the fridge!!!!

Buenos Noche!!

pouty lip

I sure don't remember Hannah developing Pouty Lip this early!! Man, I am going to have to be careful. Look how "sad" he looks!

Actually, he is sitting in my lap right now, and is all smiles and giggles. We really haven't seen pouty lip to many times. Hannah prefers him not to pout. She will ask us to make it go away!

Yummy

For all of you who eat at 3am, here is a wonderful "keep you awake-so you don't drop your baby" snack!! And...for the rest of you who snack at "normal" times:)

These are SO good. Thanks to my friend Krista for broadening my horizons! You can buy them for 1.18$ at Wal-mart, and they are SO good. (did I say that already?)

Happy Snacking!!

BIG Sisters!

Both Hannah and her friend Kara became BIG sisters this summer.
(Kara actually has 2 little sisters now).

8-7-08

I thought of another 80's moment:

"I love you 80 times!" -this is SO cute, and will most times turn into a contest to see who can come up with the highest number. Which is always ME:)

Hannah and Calvin had a contest yesterday to see who could drink their milky the fastest. Hannah won, although I think Calvin can put away milk pretty fast for his age/development. They both LOVE milky!!!!!

I was getting grocery's out of my van last night and the Korean (the Korean guy...need I say more!!) guy across the street bumped into our van. (this part makes Dan mad...I thought is was pretty funny myself...considering their culture) He didn't even get out of his car. He just rolled down the window and gave me a "I really could care less" I'm Sorry. Dan thought he should have at least gotten out of his car. But you know...it was very dark and he didn't have enough room to be parallelling there anyway, so it was inevitable that he was going to bump a vehicle. I am just glad I was there. BUT, lets just say that if he is ever in my way, I wont feel bad for hitting his car. -What is it with people hitting our van??

Calvin is doing great on his eat/wake/sleep routine!! I was SO afraid he wouldn't get it down. But I guess I just didn't give him enough time to get used to it. He is also going down in his bed all by himself now. He does get a little side tracked by his Teddy Mobile. (or if his binky falls out). I have a video of him with his Mobile coming.

Hannah has been talking with the most Southern accent all week. It is cracking us up! She is really putting the drawl in all her words.

Dan and I went on a lunch date today. It was very nice to eat out with out kids. Although ours are pretty good in a restaurant. Dan starts school Monday!!! I can't believe it already. It has been a nice summer with him home, so we are going to have to adjust to him being in school again. PhD students don't have classes in the summer. He isn't taking a full load though, and he is going to get to grade for a teacher. He gets paid per head. So, pray that the classes are full!! (there are 3).

Pictures are coming! I promise.

80!

For about the last 3-5 months, 80 has been Hannah's favorite number. Everything is 80! Here are a few "80" moments:

"Mom, how long until I am 80?" -46years-

"Grandma, are you 80?" -NO!!

"This chair weighs 80 million pounds"

"Whoa, 80 is a lot. Right Mom?"

"Can I have 80?" -I'm thinking it may have been chocolate chips she was wanting...

There are more, but I am forgetting them now. But these are cute enough to last you awhile. Pretty much any answer you need from her that is a number will be 80.

time flies when you are having fun!

Wow...We have lived in KY for 4 years today!!

Can you believe it? A lot has happened to us in the past 4 years. Dan has graduated with his masters, and started his PhD. Hannah is now 4 and we are looking at education options for her. And we have Calvin now(who will be 8 weeks tomorrow). I was reminded it was the 2nd as I pulled in this afternoon and spotted at least 2 moving trucks. It brought back some fun memories.

This morning was our church yard sale. It was a lot of fun. I always enjoy hanging out with friends.(and making$) I got some stuff free from my friends as well. And I gave a lot away too. So, it was a great day!

I am currently missing my Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary party. It started 53 min ago....wait, actually they are behind us an hour. It will start in 7 min. either way I am sad to miss it.

Calvin had his 2nd blow out yesterday at the water park. Of course since he'd had one just the day before, I hadn't remembered to put a new out fit in his bag. So he had to ride home(via the post office) with no clothes. And speaking of clothes!!! He is completely out of newborn/0-3 mo clothing and is fully into 3-9 months. We are pretty sad about it too.

Calvin is also smiling more now and "talking" to us. Last night I found him smiling and cooing at his mobile!! It has 3 little bears on it, and he was talking to them. It was SO cute.

I almost died Thursday evening...or at least I thought I was going to!! I got a really bad case of Mastitis. I felt so bad I called Dan to come home!!!!! I think it really scared him, b/c I haven't been that sick in a while. But I am all better now and 100% functional. It is amazing what your house can look like after 24 hours of you doing nothing:(

Awww!

sleepy time

I am proud to report that Calvin is starting to enjoy his bed!! This has been a source of frustration for us the past few weeks. For those of you who don't know, Calvin decided when we brought him home, that he hated his bed and refused to sleep in it. But the past 2 days he has slept in it during day naps!!!!! He WILL sleep in it at night though, and always has...weird huh? So, we are very exited. We were concerned as to what we were going to do here in a few weeks when he gets to big to sleep in our bed or in his swing. So...improvement is on the way!!! Yeah-Go Calvin!
Also, he is starting to roll over. Not all the way, but just on his side:)
He also had his first major blow out in public this morning...how much fun was that to clean up!

I'm back!

Hello again.
We have been blessed with a lot of family visiting us this summer. This past weekend we had both of Dan's sisters and their families. It was both fun and tiring...and busy. So, that is why I haven't posted in a few days. But I have some cute pictures to make up for it!

Here we are at the new "Tiger Tundra" at the Zoo. Dan actually looked at this picture and (I kid you not!) said "Wow, I can't believe the tigers came up to the window like that!!"....Hmmm, neither can I!

Hannah playing her "pink" Nintendo DS. She really likes it. It is really amazing how fast she learned to play it. If only she'd learn her ABC's that fast!!!!

Calvin as been to Chili's 3 times and he is only 7 weeks old. He has been VERY good each time!

I think Hannah is going to take after me when it comes to having an eye for photography!! Check out the composition! She has the bunny, me and Calvin all in a perfect triangle!! And I didn't even have to encourage it. She is REALLY into taking pictures with my camera. It is neat to see the ones she takes, b/c they are from her view of the world(which is about 2 1/2 feet below mine).

More later...Calvin is up and I am hungry

More Videos!

Here is more video fun with Hannah!!

Happy Birthday Aunt Marci (tomorrow)!! Can't wait until you get here.

Here is some super-cute footage of the Diffey kids.

Calvin is doing much better. He spent the night in his swing, and slept very well. He is also eating a little better. But as Dan put it...it wont hurt him to lose a pound or 2. I have decided that he is going to be one of those kids that is always sick or has problems of some kind. He has seen a Dr more times in his little 6 1/2 weeks of life than Hannah in her 4 years of life. Not to mention the problems I had during his pregnancy. I think I saw my OB a record amount of times this year.

I'm loving VBS. Hannah has been sleeping in until 930 every morning this week!! I think that there should be VBS every week. Mom's deserve it. Tonight is the last night and they are having a pizza swim party. Complete with blow up inflatables for them to play on. I am also glad we have 2 sets of relatives coming this weekend. I can pawn off some of her art crafts she made this week!!!!! They are taking over:)
