There is this wonderful skate park that you an see out the window on our drive home from Church. It is pretty big and you can go there and roller skate, skate board, ect...There are big cement U's and loops and jumps and stuff...I have no clue what you call all of them, but it is cool to watch. (the kind of stuff you see on tv). Any way Hannah is just dying to go there and Dan has told her that he'll take her there when she is bigger(!). Which we all know is a Huge joke, b/c she is the biggest pansy in the whole universe!! Anyway there wasn't anyone there tonight when we drove by and she wanted to know why. I told her you can't skate there when it is raining b/c you could fall and break your neck. So, I am thinking like paralyzed, drink out of a straw, and she asks me "well, can't you just glue it back on?"....Kids are SO funny!!!!!

Robot
So, we were driving to church 2-3 weeks ago and Hannah started having a cow about how she had just seen a robot/Transformer!!! There's a Robot/Transformer in down town momma, Dada look!! Well, it took several drives to church after that to figure out what she was talking about...lol. But we finally did "See" the robot. It is pretty funny actually. But here is a picture of the robot/transformer in our down town. We have to look at each time we go to church! It's like the highlight of our drive!
For those of you here in town it is located on top of the old Cissell building on the right side of 65S right before you exit St. Catherine's. I can't tell you how hard it was to get a good picture of it too.
Easter Pics
I guess it is time for more pictures huh? I have kinda been slacking lately on my picture taking. Actually, I think we just haven't done much! Here are our Easter pictures.

Here she is at the egg hunt. She was a bit more aggressive this year than the past few years. I was surprised at the difference 1 year makes.

Thanks Grandma Linda for the ears!!!! Hannah wore them for about a week straight!
We let her wear them to Wal-mart, and I swear it took twice as long to get the grocery's b/c we were stopped by almost all the other shoppers!!!! Not to mention that was the day they were handing out pink frosted cupcakes instead of plain sugar cookies...Made for a HUGE disaster. We had to buy baby wipes to let her get in the van.
Off the subject! (yet still about free cookies)They don't give your child a free cookie at Sams anymore b/c some kid almost died of an allergic reaction. Scary.
Gotta love that "smile"...Thanks Diffey's!!
This is Hannah's new top and sweater. She wore this to the Good Friday service. She has always looked good in green. I am thinking almost all of Dan and My's favorite outfits for her have been green. Hmmm....
Why is the American alphabet/phonics so odd?
I am trying to teach Hannah sounds and letters, and today we encountered a difficult to explain situation. She was sounding out the letter C, then I asked her what starts with the letter C. Cat! Ok, then she goes on to say Kitty...well, NO, kitty begins with a K. But they are the same thing!!!!!!! Weird huh? She couldn't understand, so we moved on. But anyway, it makes for a challenge on my part!
Dan is teaching her Hebrew. It seems like they(the Hebrew language people) have their act together. Crazy...

Then we are off to Play Group. I'll write more later...gotta go eat!!

PS
Hey- especially if you are a relative!!! We aren't telling Hannah about the trip to Florida yet. So don't say anything to her.
Thanks!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!
Update
So...I thought I'd give you an update as I sit here and eat the rest of a bag of chocolate chips. (yikes huh?) It has been a while since my last official "update." (maybe Christmas?)
We had a wonderful Easter. It snowed and was very cold! It was cold last year too. I remember we had to put on an undershirt for Hannah's new dress then as well. This year her Aunt Kara had bought her a cute new green dress, and I was able to find a pretty green sweater at Wal-mart for $6 to match it!! Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of her in it. So, you'll have to wait until the next time she wears it...and pray that I remember to photograph her in it!! It really is a bummer too, b/c I had new clothes on and Dan was dressed up as well. O well.
I think it may have been that we were too concerned about getting to the restaurant afterwards...A whole bunch of us went to lunch afterwards. It is our Easter tradition 3 years running now to eat out with a group of our friends. We have a ton of fun!!
Next week we are going on a mini family vacation!! We are pretty excited. We have never been on a real family vacation. (the kind where you stay at a hotel and DON'T see relatives)!! We have been saving up, and are going to go to the local zoo, and aquarium, and (of course) shop! After we get home, we will start our vacation "jar" over again, b/c next year....Drum roll please....we are going to FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!! Hannah will be 5 then and she is SO excited to go to the Disney Castle. Plus we have several sets of friends who live there or are from there, so it is going to be a lot of fun.
My sister is coming to visit in 19 days.
And my next Dr apt is Tuesday. I am 27 weeks this week, so 13 to go!!
Dan just finished a huge paper. He has 2 or 3 more, I can't remember. We went out to eat last night to celebrate. We had a gift card to Out Back. It was really good. Hannah didn't like the "bloom'n onion" though. But she did eat ALL of the bread they brought!! (with a crazy amt of butter too). Then we went to Baby's-R-Us and were able to get our $10 gift card for registering there. They were out when I went to register a few weeks ago...Then I went to bible study (and had the most amazing fruit pizza). Hannah was put to bed early for bad behavior!! Which actually had started as I was leaving. Lucky me, poor Dan!
Calvin is doing great. He is getting pretty big. I'll try to get a new picture of myself to post soon. We were thinking about having a pre-Calvin family picture taken...but I'm not sure if I want to spend the money. I may find a friend to do it.
Hope you are all doing well. I think that just about covers all the Diffey Highlights from the past few weeks/months. Of course I blog everyday about the little stuff...so you already know about that. This was just some pretty random thoughts about our life here.
have a great day!!

Hallelujah!
Hello,
I thought I would share with those of you who don't go to our church. Here is a little tid bit from our Good Friday Service. We gathered Friday evening in remembrance and thanksgiving of the Sacrifice our Lord Jesus Christ. We read several scriptures including the Passion Narrative from Matthew 26:36-27:55, then we reflected upon them from various Psalms. We also sang some songs such as "The Power of the Cross" and "How deep the Father's love for us." It was a wonderful service and a nice time to reflect honestly on what God did for us! This is truly the greatest gift He has given us. I would encourage each of you to reflect upon this tomorrow as you enjoy your day. Please read the Matthew passage and be reminded of how much was sacrificed for us. And take time the thank God for this gift of free salvation. I know I have a hard time remembering what He has truly done for me!

JWV
Congratulations to our really good friends Josh and Cari (Benny's Parents) on the birth of:
John William
9lbs
21 inches long
We are SO SO excited for you!

97 days to go
Calvin now weighs about 1 2/3rd lbs. and measures 14 inches (roughly the length of an English hothouse cucumber), from head to heel. His weight will more than triple between now and birth as he rapidly puts on baby fat. He'll need that fat to help adjust to colder temperatures outside the womb and as a source of energy and calories in the first days of life.Monday, March 17, 2008
Green Day
"Green Day" (as she is calling it) is going well!! Dan and I both got our pinches on Hannah before she changed. She is having a blast, esp. b/c Dan didn't wear green(of course he is doing it on purpose!). She even took her Green bear with her to the post office this morning.
I am seriously considering doing a color day every couple of weeks. Who knew this would be so much fun?

The "Pinchers" are out!
We were stopped at a red light yesterday and there was this huge bunch of green balloons in front of a restaurant/bar/pub place. Of course they caught Hannah's eyes and she wanted one, so I went on the explain why they were out there. (St. patty's day). I explained that everyone was going to be wearing green and if you didn't people would pinch you. It was SO cute to see how excited she was/is about this. I just put her to bed and we spent about 10 min picking out her outfit(shirt, socks, and underwear!!). She is SO excited. She is also concerned that Daddy is going to forget to wear green. I bet secretly she is excited to pinch him. He called while I was putting her to bed and I told him he'd better wear green!! It was pretty funny. I'll take some pictures and post them tomorrow....And a HUGE thank you to Candace for having a green shirt in the bag of maternity clothes she loaned me!!!!!!! Who knew I'd need one?
My friend Cari is in labor today! I am very excited for her. She is Benny's mom.
We are going to see Horton Hears a Who tomorrow with our down stairs neighbors!! I think I am more excited than Hannah is. I have wanted to see it since I saw the preview. Plus it is getting great reviews. I'll let ya know.

Quote of the day!
Top this one!!
Hannah and I were on our hands and knee's cleaning the hall(which she LOVES to do!!), and she says to me:
H- Hey momma, your feet are really cracked and you need to moisturize them now...let me go get the lotion for you!
Me- ok?
Dan- on the floor laughing hysterically!!!!

More clothes
I am So excited. I have to share with you how God has blessed us this week! This afternoon I received a huge garbage bag full of little boy clothes. They were sized from newborn up to 6 months. Which is SO exciting, so now we have tons of clothes for this summer and the first part of the winter! Yeah. And the neat thing is, that they are from someone who doesn't even know me. She is a woman who works with a friend of mine. How awesome is that? And they are all practically new. Some of the items still had tags on them. Yeah. Now all we need is a bed and dresser!
Thank You God for providing!!

Fun Photos
We finished up a wrapping paper tube, and Hannah had a little fun with it before we threw it away.

Our weather here has been in the 60's the past 2 days and we have been playing outside at the park, riding bikes(just Hannah), and coloring with chalk. Our snow is all done, except the huge piles where they plowed it.
I got my test results back from the glucose test, and I failed the blood part. I have extremely low iron counts. Which, actually I am really excited to find out, b/c I have been VERY dizzy, tired, and weak in my arms and legs the past few weeks. Just walking up the stairs or across the house makes me SO tired out. So, I they gave me some medicine and I should be all better soon! Yeah. Maybe it will help with the sleep loss too:)

Baby sitter Maddness!!
I was thinking, how God has blessed me this week!
I was able to get a sitter for my Dr. apt Monday, someone to take Hannah this evening to gym class (b/c I was busy), someone to watch her tomorrow evening while I go hear Dan teach on the book of Joshua(!), and Friday evening at church is Parents Night Out!!! WOW. God is good. not that I don't love my child, but the breaks are nice.
Our snow is almost gone now. Hannah is sad. But we are happy. Especially Dan! He hates snow.

Saturday's snow
This is a really neat idea for all of you...next time it snows and you have nothing better to do! The guy across the street made a fin and a horn on his car! We really enjoyed watching him do it too. It took him about 30-40 min to finish. It was kinda funny too, b/c I was on the phone with my sister the whole time. I'm sure she thinks we are weird for watching people out the window for that long!!

As you can see here, we got even more snow Saturday than Friday. Friday's pictures are below.

I had my Dr apt today, and all looks well. I have gained 16lbs so far. Which is 1 lb less than I did with Hannah at this point. My Dr did say that Calvin is going to be bigger than Hannah....Great!! She would like to take him out a little sooner than his due date. We'll see...The practice I go to is well known for pulling the babies early! I think it is more convenient for them!! O, and my Dr. LOVED the name Calvin. You should have heard her squeal with delight over the name. It was cute, b/c she is SO professional all the time. Have a wonderful afternoon!

Yeah!!
Ok, here is the video of Dan cleaning off his car. The more in depth description to it is below!
Hmmm...
ok, the second video and the pictures aren't loading right now...so, I will try tomorrow.
I also have a Dr. apt tomorrow morning. It is my 25 week one, where they do the Glucose test! Yeah! Orange drink....and blood tests....
I'll write more tomorrow.

March snow pictures/movies
Here are the 2 movies we took this weekend. The first one is Hannah on the slide at the park. It was SO amazing how fast she kept sliding down them and then off. I totally missed her best one, b/c I wasn't expecting it. She had gone down the Big slide and then literally flew off it about 3 feet! It was so amazing...She wouldn't do it again though...I wonder why!
The second video is Dan cleaning off his car for work on Sat. As you can tell there was a lot of snow out there. This is the most snow we have received since moving here. We had snow like this one other time...not as much though. It was the Christmas Hannah was 6 mo old. Dan actually had to call into work that time b/c we couldn't dig the car out!
Today was very nice and sunny, so a lot of the snow has melted now. There are huge water puddles everywhere.

March Snow
WOW!
We have got a foot of snow now. It started snowing yesterday around 8am, and hasn't stopped. Everything is shut down...of course. They do such a terrible job of cleaning the roads here. Anna (my friend..who had to go in this morning for an hour before they closed her place of employment) said that the high way wasn't even plowed at 9am!! Hello, it has been snowing for over 29 hours now!!
I have some great pictures of yesterday, and Hannah playing on the play ground. I will down load them this afternoon. I even have a movie, So check back.
Right now Hannah and Dan are reviewing the Hebrew Alphabet. It is so cute to hear her speak Hebrew!
Also, I stand corrected. I guess there are other people out there that clean the inside of their washer's!!! Who knew?

Down Time
Today is a rest and relax day for me and Hannah...only she has had a runny nose every 15 min. Her nose situation started last night after we put her to bed. She was up every 20 min with boogies until I had had enough around 2 am. I gave her a good dose of Tylenol (sp?) and she knocked right out! Dan is doubling today and I have a ton of laundry/chores to do.
I am re-vamping the bathroom. I got new towels, a rug and a toothbrush holder. I plan on getting (at some point in the far future) new curtains and a shower curtain. I figure if we are going to be here for 5 more years, why not spruce the place up!! Hence all the laundry. The new towels are making all these fuzzies everywhere. I have washed them twice now...so hopefully that will help.
Hannah is now sleeping...she was getting on my nerves, B/c she keeps crying for no reason. First her tears got on her coloring picture, then she was hungry, but wouldn't eat...then she was hungry again, then she wanted milkey, ect... A nap may due her good anyway. We are waiting for the UPS guy so we can't leave the house. I have a nice list of things we are going to do as soon as he comes though:)

Day Trip
Monday, we went on a little day trip to a nearby town with our good friends Si and Anna. We(mostly Dan and Si) checked out the local bookstores, while Hannah, Anna and I hung out. I was able to find a good book for Hannah at one of the stores. It was a wonderful day too. The temp was about 70 most of the day! We did hit a huge rain storm on the way home though.

Anna and I were able to convince Hannah (rather easily) that these circle rocks were Dino eggs! She had a blast playing with the dirt and all the Dino eggs...That is until this rolly polly looking bug tried to "get her". It wasn't a rolly polly though b/c we hit it with a stick and it went belly up.

Honest attacking the camera.

Kohl's
Hey-I went to Kohl's tonight and I just wanted to let you all know that the entire store is either 80% off, or buy 1 get 1. I found some amazing deals!! And I have money left on my gift card!
Our Dora Party
Here are the pictures (as promised) from Hannah's Dora Party. The girls had a lot of fun. They played with the dress up stuff and then ate Mac-n-cheese, fries and carrots. Then to top it off they each had a HUGE piece of cake!

I am actually pretty impressed with my self on this cake. It was my first character cake! There are a few things I will do differently next time...such as use different chocolate frosting. I bought the choc in a tub and it was gross. The vanilla that I used for the white and the colored parts was really good though. I also need to get a smaller tip for outlining.

Spring Cleaning
I officially have either Spring Cleaning Fever...or some kind of Nesting issue!!! Today alone I cleaned (and I mean with extreme detail!!) the whole Bathroom, both cars, did dishes twice and trash once...and "the kicker", I cleaned the inside of my washer!!!!! (who does that?) That was when I noticed I was going crazy(that and my "never notice when I clean anything" Husband noticed) Not to mention we did family stuff today, like taking Hannah to the park, bookstore shopping with Dan, wagon rides for Hannah and watching a movie! I am trying to figure out what to clean next. Yikes! Help!
And after all that...I missed 1/2 price day at the local kids consignment sale! I was pretty bummed about it too. I thought it was tomorrow and I even had a friend to go with me and everything. Hopefully I don't forget the one next week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I registered at Babies-R-us last night. They had sent me this coupon for a $10 gift card if I register with them...So, being the cheap skate that I am...decided to go for it. So, if you care to know, I am now registered there. It was kind of fun...only I had Hannah with me and they were out of the gift cards, so now I have to go back in there!!!!!! The ONLY reason I went to register in the first place. Plus they said you can't use the gift cards on diapers, so now I am going to have to buy something "useless" as Dan put it. O well...Maybe we can get him a toy. Hannah picked out some cute Boy-ish toys for him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Calvin is going to have the best big sister ever. She told us today that when she takes him down the slide she will hold on to him tight(so he doesn't fall).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Mary-I own Lost if you ever want to get into it!! It really is one of the best TV shows ever! I think that this past episode was just odd. But Dan thought it was a great one...so I don't know.
