More Zoo with Friends

today we went to the Zoo with some of our new friends.  It was a nice day, as you can tell.  We enjoyed getting to know some of the people we are meeting at our new church.

MiriLou got to ride a camel today!  It was definitely the highlight of her day.  She did great.  There was no hesitation.  She just ran right up and hopped on.

Radio Disney dance VIDEO!!

Last night the PTA at Hannah's school hosted in Radio Disney for a dance party.  The girls had the time of their lives dancing and jumping around.

The Phoenix Zoo - take 1

We went to the Zoo the other day.  It is a very BIG zoo!  We only covered a tiny area.  You could definitely spend several days and not see everything.

This White bird (I kid you NOT!!) is as BIG as Calvin!!!!!!  Seriously.  It was crazy how unafraid they are of humans too.

More pictures to come someday.  I bet we'll go back next weekend with Dan.

Can we all say YIKES together!  Is that not the biggest bird you have ever seen?  We did not edit this photo in any way either.  These birds were hanging out by a bridge we needed to cross at the Zoo.

We walked to Starbucks with Grandma the first morning she was here.  We were waiting on the truck to arrive with our stuff and had a few minutes.  We are within walking distance to several fun places.

Grandma leaves tomorrow, so I am uploading these pictures from her camera tonight while she is playing Sorry with Hannah(and Dan is at work so I have free range with the computer!)

Hannah is doing well in school.  She is making friends.  Or says she is:)  I am going to let her ride the bus home from school starting tomorrow.  Friday and today the bus has pulled in at the exact same time as we have, so there is no point in me picking her up, esp since it right smack dap in the middle of nap time!!  Plus she is SO excited to ride the bus.  In KY she couldn't because of our deal with her school there, so as long as she is put on the right bus, this should work out well for all of us:)

Talk about a major yard sale score!
We got this hiking back pack for ML last weekend for $15.  It seems brand new or at least used twice maybe.  She loves it, and honestly so do I.  It seems really easy on the back too.  You can tell it was expensive(I looked it up and I think they are $200 brand new)

The drive

We are here!!  (obviously, you saw the previous post) The drive from Louisville to Phoenix took us 3 days.  The kids did great. 

The above 3 photos were taken on the drive from Flagstaf to Phoenix.  We drove through some amazing scenery on our 3 day drive.  I would not recommend the drive to anyone.  If you are going to visit, do fly...your butt will thank you!  Trust me.

Dinner with our new Friends! (or at least the kids' new friends...HA)

We have been very welcomed by Josh and Cari and thier kids.  We stayed with them all last weekend and went to church them. 

Unpacking is going well.  Dan just needs to get his books put away and we will post pictures:)

Trick or Treating in Arizona

we went up to Josh and Cari's house and had dinner and went trick or treating with them and their friends.  The kids are really good friends with their kids now, so they played all night long.  The weather was great and the kids got tons and tons of candy!

Can I just say - WE LOVE OUR CHURCH FAMILY!!

O my, tonight was our goodbye party at church...not much to say.  Just kidding.  It was SOOOOOOOO emotional!  Dan started crying in front of the whole church.  We were up there getting our "picture" and giving prayer requests ect, and then we looked out and literally everyone was balling and that was it! We are going to miss everyone so much.  God has truly blessed our time here.

After the service was a dessert time and fellowship where we got to say personal goodbyes ect.  Here are a few cute pictures of the kids with their friends.

A Visit from the Dark Side

Darth Vador has visited our home.  He left this video clip before he killed everything in the house!

(note - this is the 4th time he did it, and he isn't as cute as the first time...but still worth watching, esp if you are a relative.  The first time he said it, he then turned around and beat the crap out of the boxes behind him!!!I was laughing so hard it took me a min to realize this had to be on film.  Note  also the evil laugh with his head tilted back! ).   Loving it:)



On a different note. the packing is going well.  We have rentors.  A nice couple from our church.  They will move in in November.
