Another hobby.....

Since it is a little hot out now, I've take up a new hobby.  Don't worry, I am still crocheting.  Actually I'm almost done with a nice nautical afghan for a friend.  But I've always wanted to make a quilt!!  So I am:)

So far I've only spent $11.  I still have to find something for the back. If I can keep it under $29, than it will be cheaper than the Laura Ashley one at Ross-dress-4-less.....!

We bought the living social deal for the science center, I think it was $55 for a family year pass.  We went yesterday and really enjoyed it.  Hannah was supper grossed out in the brain section(HA) they all liked the water area.

Spots and more spots

Friday night we noticed a little rash on his feet.  We figured it was a heat rash.  It is hot here.  Our daily highs are ranging from 95-102.  Saturday when he woke up, it was on his hands.  Then before lunch we noticed it was all over his body.  Weird huh? It wasn't itchy or anything.  So we waited, then around noon, his feet started swelling and the "hives" started to raise.  Se we took him to the ER.

They gave him some meds, and today, Tuesday, they are all gone!!!  They say it was an allergic reaction to something.  We had been swimming at the splash pad at the zoo.  My guess it was something in the water, esp. Since it was worse on his feet

Kentucky Derby 139

It would be the equivalent to not acknowledging Christmas!! We simply HAD to have a party.

Both of the other 2 families you see are our friends from KY. It is so nice to have friends here from that area of the country. We are truly blessed.

The kids had a wonderful time playing games and eating Derby pie.
