Beautiful

Sunday morning we awoke to a lightly snow-covered yard. It was really pretty on the flowers. I couldn't resist a few pictures. It was all gone when we got home from church.

I totally forgot....

I absolutely LOVE this photo!!!
The ultimate "I am DONE" behavior.

I forgot:
to post the St. Patrick's Day photo. You clearly didn't miss anything:) They were not in a "take-my-photo" mood!
We started the day off with green donuts, then attempted the photo, then too Hannah to school. Hannah had a nice time at school. They had made green hats to wear. The principal had told them all that there was to be NO pinching what so ever. I guess that's fair...

Hannah scored a goal in her soccer game Saturday. I didn't see it though:( We are experiencing a very cold week, and didn't want the baby out. It is a good thing too, b/c Dan was cold sitting there and he never gets cold!

Stay tuned for a video of ML crawling! We took a few good ones. Her crawl is very unique(not as much as Calvin's was...but very cute)

11-Months

t
Where has the year gone!!!!!!!! I can't believe we have had ML in our lives for 11 months. SO much has happened, it seems like only a few weeks.

ML is such a happy baby. She is pulling up now...which means we have to keep an eye on her more now. Plus, BIG bro likes to push her over and "bump" into her. She is still a beached whale when she falls. She can't roll over yet!!! It is kinda funny. She is the only one we could still leave on the edge of the bed this long, and know she wont go anywhere. ML is also the only one who hasn't fallen off the bed yet:) Maybe we have learned our lesson...

ML has the most impressive "pouty-lip" you have EVER seen!!!!! It breaks your heart and makes you laugh all at the same time. Too bad it wont be cute next year;) To celebrate today, Calvin, ML and I went out to eat with a good friend at church.

The science center

Last week, we got to visit the science center with Hannah's school. They had rented out the whole thing for a few hours, and the best thing...it was FREE! I only paid $5 for parking!

If you have enough patience and a gentle hand...you can create a bubble around yourself with this contraption. You pull the string and it raises the ring creating the bubble. Most of the kids couldn't do it b/c they were not patient.

He sat in the table measuring fruit and veggies for about 5 minutes!

Help! The bear is eating my head....

Calvin loves stuffed animals of all kind!

Look! They even had a soothing flowing river on the 2nd floor...

Some kind of outer space pod. They were able to touch the screen and go places and pick up cargo ect...

Here they are in a little space shuttle pod. They were pressing the buttons and blasting off to outer space.

ML loves to dance! I have tried numerous times to get her dancing to the song this little car plays, but can't. She freezes when I pull out the camera. To help you: She waves her hands and bounces back and forth. You can briefly see it in the first 4 seconds here.

I'll post a full update on her Monday. She'll be 11 months then, and I have 11-month pictures too!

spring fever

He's ready!

Good hit Bubs!!
Do you know how hard it is to take a photo while throwing the ball...

We think Baseball is going to be his 2nd love.
Any guesses on his first?

Oooo LaLa! It stands!

I am SO looking forward to Spring with all the warm weather we have had! It has been very nice here. We have enjoyed lots of trips to the park and tons of backyard play. We have even found a very nice "new-to-us" park by Hannah's school. It has swings, so naturally we like it a little more. Here are some takes from our baseball practice. Bubs is quite good at hitting the ball. I didn't even have the T out.

roller skating

I totally forgot to post these. We went roller skating with Hannah's school about 3 weeks ago. We almost didn't go b/c we weren't sure how the kids would do. But alas the super cheap price got us. It was $3 for Hannah, parents and siblings were free, and $1 for skates. If we had gone as a family by ourselves it would cost over $27. We had a BLAST!! The kids each loved it SO much that they cried when we left. We had to carry Bubby out b/c he was crying. (screaming)

Hannah was her typical self. VERY cautious, not willing to take risks, go at a turtle pace. She ended up being able to let go of Dan by the end of the night. We ended up leaving early b/c she had fallen (again) and told us she hurt her wrist. NOTE: she was moving it and putting pressure on it on the bench she was sitting on while telling us this!!!!!! (I wonder if she even realized it) But still, due to her crying and making a huge scene about it, we left. At one point Dan had told her if she could go around by herself one time he would give her a dollar. She actually did it too.

Bubs on the other hand....was a maniac! He LOVED skating. He, true to his nature(all boy) went at it with full force. I only let go of him once though, and he did fall. I just wanted to see if he could do it. The kid doesn't know what fear is. He'll be the one speed skating by the time he is in K.

MiriLou had fun too! She sat by our shoes chewing on them. We won't be able to take her with us next time though, b/c she crawls now and that would just be a disaster:)

Hannah's school has the best PTA in town. They have a skating party the last Monday of every month!!! They also have other activities during the month as well. They have rented out the Y next Sunday evening (why on a Sunday? No clue). And in March they have rented out the science center for a whole evening!!! The flyer said that for a family of 4, it would normally cost $55. Being the cheapest parents ever, this is our kind of family outing!
