Pirate Flop
So...I tried to take Hannah to see the new Veggie Tale movie that is out. Lets just say that there was NO religious tones/story in it at all. It was a Pirates of the Caribbean part 3 knock off! And...since when is that a kids movie? It was very scary for Hannah and we ended up leaving early because she was so scared. She was crying.
Do you remember in Jonah the pirates who don't do anything liked those cheese curls? Well the cheese curls are in this movie as well...only they come alive at one point and start to chase the pirates with these evil eyes and mouths. YIKES! It totally freaked her out and...honestly, rightly so. I was a bit shocked as well.
We will NOT be seeing Veggie Tale movies anymore! I am bit disappointed in Big Ideas. They have really let changed their focus over the years. Aren't they supposed to be funny and "Loosely" based on Bible stories?

I was babysitting somewhere recently and saw a new Veggie Tales movie... "Rumor Weeds" - I was also not impressed. Like you said, in the beginning, it was just loosely based on Scripture... but now it's just run of the mill feel-good stuff... I think. Maybe I should be careful what I say. But yea... that's too bad. I think they changed ownership... right?
