More

I found more pictures of Hannah. These are her new pj's.

This evening she started her gym class. She had a lot of fun...I think. The class is put on by the Gym at School. They are teaching her basics like throwing a ball, walking on a balance beam, running and then stopping ect. From what I saw, she was doing ok. She did have a hard time staying on the line and waiting her turn. I wonder how much of that is b/c she is an only child and always gets the attention...

She likes to dance on the chest!

Hannah attempting to clean her room.

Aren't I the cutest?

Hannah Video

Hannah is very big into making movies, than watching them. Here is one she made the other day while I was trying to take her picture in her new pj's from Nana.

Enjoy

Me

A Few of you out of towners have been wanting to see what I look like right now! So...here is a photo. Dan took it from the couch so it isn't a real good one...(lol). Either that or I am very shocked at how big I am already!!

I was out shoe shopping today and the lady asked me if I was having a girl or boy?!!!!!!!!!! Hello, I thought I was going to faint. I didn't realize that I was that big. Dan says I look pregnant, but I guess I just thought I looked more fat than pregnant. O well. It is worth it!

John 10:1

Last night as I was reading to Hannah her Bible story we encountered a humorous parental moment. I was reading from John 10:1 in her little kid Bible book. To summarize the chapter, it is about Jesus being our Shepherd and us being the Sheep. The book goes on to say that anyone who believes in Jesus will be saved. He is our protector, like a shepherd protects his sheep.

Well...Hannah could quite grasp the fact that it was a story to represent our relationship with Christ. When I was done reading it, she puckered up and said
"Momma, I am not a sheep!" It was kinda cute, but a reality check to the fact that she really just doesn't quite grasp the fullness of God's love for us just yet. As parents we need to constantly be pointing our children to Christ! What better way than when God provides us these little teachable moments. Stay alert to what your child says, you don't want to miss any opportunity to share with them!! It is your most important job as a parent!

Anne Proof

Hey guess what Dan discovered this morning when he was warming up our Van??

It is (according to him) "Anne Proof!!" That means (for those of you wondering) that when the keys are in the ignition and you lock the door, it automatically unlocks when you shut the door!! WOW, how cool is that? You know, I have only locked the keys in the car once in the past 7 years, but that was enough to allow him to never let me forget it!!!! O well.

Happy Sunday!

Free Pretzels!

Today Hannah and I went to the mall and got Free Pretzels at Auntie Anne's!! They were giving out free pretzels to all people from 10am-4pm today in honor of their 20th Birthday(at all Auntie Anne's!!). Hannah got a cinnimon and sugar one and I got a salty one. They were pretty good too b/c they were fresh. Sometimes they aren't fresh b/c they have been sitting there all day. Today they were working hard to keep up with all the orders!!
Hope you were able to get one if you were at a Mall!

More recipes

Stay tuned for another chicken and rice recipe!!! I'll post it tomorrow...I don't have time now.

Easy Taco Soup

Here is a great recipe if you are looking for something cheap and fast!! They served this soup at a Woman's function the other night at School. They said they had made 6 or 7 crock pots for a grand total of $30. That is great!! I think I am going to make it next time I have to bring soup to church for a pot luck.

Easy Taco Soup

3 cans of corn (drained)
3 cans of pinto beans (but I bet you could sub canned chicken!!)
3 cans of Rotel (or spicy diced tomatoes)
1 can of broth (any)
1 packet of Taco Seasoning
1 packet of Ranch dressing

cook and serve!!

--Then serve with sour cream, cheese, chip, salsa, or any other garnish you like.

Little Mo update

Here is an update on our baby this week. I am 19 weeks, so I am almost 1/2 way!!! Yeah. I can feel the baby move more and more each day. Which is such a relief now. I have started to let myself get excited and have actually purchased a few items(!!) Go Me! I have also made a short list of needs/wants/borrow from others list. I even have diapers. They had a pack this month and last month at the food line! Pampers too:)

Our baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch.

And for those of you who don't know what an heirloom tomato is...Here is what Wikipedia says it is:
An heirloom tomato is an open-pollinated (non-hybrid) cultivar of tomato. Heirloom tomatoes have become increasingly popular and more readily available in recent years

Enjoy!

Baby M

Congrats to Josh and Jen on your baby today!!

He is SO cute.

(I guess we'll cross Judah off our list of options!)...

DDR

Hi,
I guess DDR isn't just for high school boys! Actually Hannah calls it DDRS. It is pretty funny. I'm thinking she is putting the S on it because we went to Baby's-R-Us the other day and she is making some connection with the letters...I could be wrong though. Who knows with kids, their thought pattern is so different at this age.

Today she bought Little Mo a present, and she is SO excited about it. We filled up another stamp card at PBK. It was cute watching her choose between the frog and the mouse!

O, and only 152 more days until Little Mo comes!
