more of Friday

Ok, so we didn't make it to Dollar Tree, but we did make it to Big Lots, and bought a grill for next weekend. We are going to try to celebrate Hannah's Birthday with some of her friends before "big" Calvy makes his appearance!!
Dan and I (well...actually it was just me) discovered today that not only can he get everyone free tickets with his job, but he can get free ice, and blow up helium balloons for Hannah's party too!!!! WOW. How much is that going to save us! I am SO excited for her party this year. We are really going all out(ok...well, sort of), which is a first. But she will remember this one for a few years to come as well. I doubt that she has remembered much from the previous years.

She did really great on her tennis lesson today as well. She actually hit 1 ball over the net!!!!! And she hit several others. She definitely remembered what she had learned Monday. We are very proud of her. And, I think she was proud of herself too.

O, and Hannah almost knocked over this JUMBO inflatable pool at Big Lots this afternoon!!!! It really scared her. Lol. It was so funny to see the look on her face.

Have a great evening!!

37 1/2 weeks

No baby yet...I will try to post a little tid bit everyday now so you will have an idea when I go into labor.
Today: I got my hair cut, updated my photo book till last week, Dan and Hannah are going to play tennis again today after she is done with her rest time, and I think we may go to the Dollar Tree.
I am starting to get afraid to venture too far from the house though...so we'll see.
My twins count is up to 12.
Other than that we have been laying pretty low the past few days. It is pretty hot so we have been inside most of the time.

Sunday is our 6th Wedding Anniversary!! Yeah, I am SO excited. It seems like each year we are understanding each other more and basically just more in love than the previous! This year has been a great year for us. God has truly blessed us more than we deserve!!
We will eat Lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory. It is a tradition now, that has only been broken once(due to the fact that they didn't have one here the first year we lived here).

Have a great weekend!!

Pretty in pink

This morning, I went in for another ultrasound and they measured Calvin at 8.1lbs. So he definitely going to be healthy and big. Hannah was 8.3lbs, so maybe he'll come today and than my labor will be slightly easier...There was this older couple at the hospital waiting on the elevator with me, and he was like "should you be leaving?" LOL. I told him I was not happy to be leaving. On the other hand, I was pretty hungry at that time, and I know if they had kept me there would have been NO lunch for me today...

Happy Thursday!

first lesson

Today Hannah had her first tennis lesson. Which has resulted in a quote of the day!!

"Do I spin around every time I hit the ball?"- Dan (can you imagine if he did how funny that would look. lol)!!!!

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!! She was doing this princess spin every time she would attempt to swing at the ball. She did great though, and by the time she was done with her lesson, you could really see improvement. They are going to go play again tomorrow while I am at the Dr. I was able to get some good footage and some awesome pictures too! I'll post those soon...

Gotta go-Bible Study is here tonight and I have a lot of cleaning to do!!

Tennis

This week Hannah received her first (of many...) Birthday presents!! It is a really nice tennis racket and visor from Aunt Kara and Uncle Jimmy. There is a pink bag to go with it, but it is on backorder. She loves it!! I think her and Dan are going to go play tomorrow.

We also passed out the invitations to her Birthday party this morning at church! So she is Very excited for her Birthday now. All we need is little Brother, and we are set:)

Bed time

Here is the pack-n-play we got. I tried to take a picture of it after I put it together, but my camera wouldn't take it so you could see the colors right. O well.
It is so nice too, b/c 2 of the 3 blankets he has received so far match it great!!

Mama-cita's

Congratulations to Jeff and Krista on the birth of their baby girl this morning!! I haven't talked with her yet, so I don't know the specs yet. Sorry.

But...I do know that this is a picture of the 2 of us taken Sunday evening after church. And most of you wanted to see a current picture of me!! SO, here it is.

Enjoy!!

Week 36

Today we went to the Zoo for Play Group! Hannah and her friends got to pet a Boa snake!! And I am SO upset I didn't have my camera with me to capture the moment. O well.

My twins count is at 10 now...

Tonight is the 2 hour season finally to Lost!! Yeah, please DO NOT call us after 9pm. We will NOT be answering the phone:)

Yesterday I had my week 36 checkup. I am dilated to a 2 and I have gained 30lbs so far. But I am on a milkshake kick, so that may go up for next weeks visit!! They went ahead and did an ultra sound and Calvin is weighing in at 7.9lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes huh? They are going to do another one next Thursday.

I bought his bed today, so now I think we are prepared fully for him to come. I do know that most women can walk around at a 2 for weeks, but I am kinda active since I have a 4 year old...so you never know. Plus Dan is praying that he comes next week. I guess the Theater is getting audited, and it is one of the worst times to work there. He'd really like a reason to get out of working:) lol. I won't complain if he comes next week either.

Goodbye - Family #2

Yesterday we said goodbye to our very good friends Si and Anna. They were our first friends here, so this was an especially hard goodbye. We have been friends with them since Hannah was 3 months old. But, we are very excited for what God has in store for them. Si has taken a position as youth pastor at a church in Iowa. Anna is 12 weeks pregnant, so their life is full of changes this coming year. Due to unfortunate circumstances, they got to spend the whole afternoon with us yesterday. I say unfortunate for them...but kinda a blessing for us!! After the guys loaded the truck they were supposed to leave and head for Columbia, Mo. (where they were going to spend the night with Anna's brother). But their car was still in the shop. So, by the time their car was fixed, it was too late for them to leave....thus allowing us to spend more time with them! Here are a few pictures of us with them over the years...

Girls day out. We went to Cincinnati and went to the Zoo and shopping at Gap Warehouse.

Here we are on the Bell Of Louisville. They had told us it was going to be this nice trip down the Ohio river and we were going to get a nice dinner ect...and once it was too late to get off, we realized that is was a college night party trip, and we were served nasty hot dogs!!!!! They felt SO bad though. But Hannah had a blast dancing on the disco floor...(and Anna had got the tickets for free, so we weren't out anything but our time). O, and did I say how COLD it was that night!!!

Thanksgiving at our house. (this year, I think)

Memorial Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. They came Friday evening and left Sunday morning before Church. Here are the pictures from that!

At the Farmers market Hannah got her face painted. She also got to feed chickens, and tip the musicians, and sample free foods. They had a lot of really good items there, but it was still a little early for the produce(which was what we were after!).

After lunch Saturday we went to the Zoo. It was very hot, but we still had a lot of fun. We did have to leave a little early though b/c I was having some cramps and was very tired of walking.

We also celebrated Hannah's "pretend" Birthday Saturday night. She got to pick out a cake and we put her name on it. I tried to get her to buy the cookie cake...but she preferred the frosting on this one. Then we went outside and and used some of her "fireworks".

It took her a few try's to get the hang of the "fireworks", but she ended up being kinda good at it. This was Hannah's first exposure to fireworks.

Other highlights of our weekend included:

Some of our friends from church had a BBQ yesterday for lunch. It was a lot of fun. It did rain a little towards the end though, but most people were leaving by then anyway. It was really nice, b/c they invited some international students from their apt complex, and it was nice to meet them. One woman asked me why we were celebrating Memorial Day...they have a similar holiday in China too.

Dan and his sister Kara getting into a bump and run with a very drunk man. No one was hurt, praise God! There is a little scratch on the front of the mini van, but in comparison to what it already looked like, you can't tell!!

Yesterday Dan, Hannah and I went to Cincinnati. It was VERY spur of the moment. That will be my last trip anywhere until the baby comes. It was not as comfortable sitting there in the van as I would have liked for it to have been. I think we will stay local from here on out.

My Twins count is up to 9!!

and...

Happy Birthday today to Moriah!!!

3ABC Picture

Here is the church photo we had taken Sunday!!!
Dan, Hannah and I are in the back row...just to the left of the main door.

This was taken for the family I was blogging about yesterday. This past Sunday was their last Sunday with us, so we wanted to take a photo for them to take with them to remember us. Plus, it is nice to have a current church photo.

DC

Wow. Someone from my home town won American Idol!! Crazy, huh? I have a friend whose parents know him, I guess the mom taught David in HS, and the dad coached him. And yes, my friend is from Blue Springs as well. Crazy small world.
