Florida pictures pt 1

Our trip to Florida was awesome!! We started out driving at 5am on Thursday and arrived in Orlando around 11pm. We were stopped for over 2 hours in Nashville for a wreck, and we had a nice lunch in Atlanta. It rained the whole day, which made for not a pleasant drive. But finally we arrived at our hotel. We weren't sure if Hannah would sleep or not, but she did. Early the next morning we woke up and met up with our really good friends Josh and Cari and had breakfast with them at McD's. Then we all headed over to Disney. We were among the first to arrive at the park. Our parking spots were right by the gate!! (2nd row if I remember correctly) After the bought their tickets we boarded the tram and headed to the island that Magic Kingdom in on. We met up with my friend from college who works there and hung out with her for a few hours. Her and her boyfriend were able to give us the inside scoop so we could have an even better day than planned.

We're Back!!

We are back from our amazing and most fun family vacation EVER!!!!! Pictures will come later on this week. But I wanted everyone to know we are back safe at home, and had a blast. We greatly miss Florida already!

The grand Finale

This is it!! No more jumbo blue helmet. I had been wanting to take Calvin's picture at the skate park all winter. I was waiting until he could sit up well, and the weather would cooperate. But I made the mistake of going during the day while everyone was at school. So there aren't any cool skater punks in the back ground or anything...

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Today is very nice out!! We were able to go to story hour and then play outside after lunch before rest time. Hannah is loving St. Patrick's Day. She was out of bed this morning at a record early time and in green!! As we were driving she would point out people along the way who were not wearing green. She was also able to pinch Calvin and Dan before they got dressed.

Aunt Kara Visits

We had a blast with Aunt Kara this past weekend. We hit up the Zoo, Lexington, Frankfort, took some nice walks and had Chinese(our new tradition with her).

go BIG 9

Happy 9 months to Bubby!!

(on Sunday). Today we went to the Zoo with my sister in law. She is in town until Tuesday. It was SO nice here today. Maybe 70's. I think everyone in Louisville was there. Then we topped it off with Chinese.(Dan was at work so we could indulge ourselves...as he is NOT a fan) Yesterday we went to Lexington, and on the way we stopped to see the Capitol. Dan had dropped us off to take a photo and circled around the building and came back for us. We then jumped in and told him how beautiful it was and then he drove us around to the other side and our mouths dropped. We had been taking our pictures of the back of the building!!!! The front was even More beautiful!! O well. Dan didn't stop so we only have pictures of the back:)

And lastly...Calvin started clapping tonight!!!!!!!! Yeah Bubby:) Clap Clap Clap!

Almost over!

Today we saw Dr. Chariker for the last time!!!!! YEAH! He wants Calvin to wear the helmet until March 23rd when he goes into the Orthotist for his close-out session. We are a little saddened about today not being the last day, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and the tunnel is only 2 1/2 more weeks long:)

Calvin weighed in at 23.7 today which is the 90% for his age. He will be 9 months on the 8th. He isn't as heavy as I thought. I asked about it, and she showed me the charts and said he was still pretty "big" for his age, but his growth is very average for his spot on the chart. A lot of the babies will slow down around this age. She projected that he will be near the 26lb mark when I bring him in next time(which will be 1 year).

Too Fat!

There are really no words to express how absolutely adorable fat babies are!!

Calvin goes in tomorrow for his 9mo apt with the pediatrician. We are pretty excited to get the latest stats. He also sees his helmet Dr Wednesday. We are pretty sure that this may be it!! If not this week, March 23rd is the final day! He goes in to the Orthotist for his close-out session that day. So either way 3 more weeks, and we are DONE!!!!!!!!

New recipe

It was recommended to me to try the chocolate chip cookie recipe on the back of the Aldi chocolate chip bag. So I did, and BOY are they good!!! They are way better than the recipe I have been using. Sharing recipes are the rage right now, so here it is:

1 cup butter melted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour(but I had to add more)
1-2 cups chocolate chips

preheat oven to 375. Cream together the first 7 items. Mix in remaining. Bake 12-15 min or until lightly brown.
