Florida Part 4

I "Love" my little brother!!

After a long day at the beach and some travel the kids weren't to excited to be photographed. So, here is what we got. It really captures their personalities well.

10 down 2 to go!

Calvin turned 10 months yesterday and I barely realized it...that's what happens to your second child!! There has been some huge changes in Calvin this month. For starters he isn't drinking as much bottle now. But he is more than making up for it in the food department. He ate 4 jars of baby food yesterday along with the table food. And snacks in between!! Today at lunch he ate more than Hannah, and I am not joking, just ask the other moms. He ate ham and cheese cubes and 3 cookies(small) and then a whole jar of food, and 30 min later pitched a ft for his bottle!!

He also is becoming mobile. He can roll over on his tummy and push backwards, and also go in a full circle when sitting up by moving his feet. He has been pushing up on his arms a little and my guess is he will be crawling very soon!

He now says 3 words: Baba, Mama, Dada. And I think he is trying to say Hannah. It is really hard to tell though. And they are few and far between.

I am almost sad to see the first year coming to an end. Calvin has been such an easy baby. He is starting to show more of his personality each day. He really enjoys the barn and the animal noises it makes. He is more interactive with Hannah in their play. He even put the food in his mouth the other day when the were cooking. All of a sudden Dan and I hear " NO Bubby NO Bubby NO!!!!!!!!!!!! NO NO!! MAMA!!!!!!!!!!" He had tried to eat the little marshmallows to the hot chocolate. I guess it is kinda pathetic when your kid wil eat wood b/c he loves food so much.

Calvin was also transfered to cloth diapers this month. I actually found a really nice brand that work great and aren't too bad. And they are pretty cute!

But I want to eat the flowers!!

This was a "tree park" in Clewiston by Josh and Cari's home. There were big huge trees for the older kids to climb in. I pictures that I will post later on of that.

Florida part 3

This is Hannah and Benny 3 years ago!

On our way from Orlando to Clewiston (where the Vincents live) we stopped at Cari's parents house and then spent the afternoon at a local beach. I HIGHLY recommend everyone going to Jupiter Beach in Florida. We are going to move there!!!! (just kidding...or am I?)
The kids had a blast on the beach and we collected a whole jar of shells and a family rock which we named Jupiter. Cari's parents have a very nice house on a local lake, and a pool in the back. They also have this huge dog which Calvin loved! He loved Calvin too.

Florida part 2

At the end of the day there was a parade. It was a light parade, and Calvin loved it. There was music and tons of lights for him to look at. Hannah...slept through the whole thing. And then refused to believe us the next day when we told her about the parade!! We were pretty impressed with how Hannah did (and Calvin too). We were in the park for 14 hours plus travel to and from the park. She stayed awake the whole day until about 930pm. She pretty much passed out and there was NO waking her. She was so tired that the fireworks at 9pm scared her and she started screaming. It was kinda funny, but we knew she was tired. I wanted to take a photo, but I think that would have been mean. So here is the photo of her as we were leaving.






Here is Sarah and Hannah waiting for Dan to get our corn dogs. While we waited there was a show. One of the characters came up and gave Calvin a kiss, and bonked me on the head with his ears!!

Dan does NOT ride the tea cups...they make him sick!

Magic Kingdom has this program called fast pass, and you can scan your tickets and then come back later on in the day and not have to wait in line. It is really nice for families with babies. We didn't have to wait in line at all the whole day.


Calvin did amazing the whole day too. He stayed in his stroller most of the time, and when he was fussy we took turns holding him. His favorite thing was the Tikki Bird show!!!! It was this crazy show with Tikki Birds and the Tikki gods were trying to take over their island ect....Very weird and not biblical at all. But he loved it!! He stood on Sarah's lap and clapped his hands and waved them and bounced and laughed like we have never seen him do before. Everyone around us was watching him and not the show.

Florida pictures pt 1

Our trip to Florida was awesome!! We started out driving at 5am on Thursday and arrived in Orlando around 11pm. We were stopped for over 2 hours in Nashville for a wreck, and we had a nice lunch in Atlanta. It rained the whole day, which made for not a pleasant drive. But finally we arrived at our hotel. We weren't sure if Hannah would sleep or not, but she did. Early the next morning we woke up and met up with our really good friends Josh and Cari and had breakfast with them at McD's. Then we all headed over to Disney. We were among the first to arrive at the park. Our parking spots were right by the gate!! (2nd row if I remember correctly) After the bought their tickets we boarded the tram and headed to the island that Magic Kingdom in on. We met up with my friend from college who works there and hung out with her for a few hours. Her and her boyfriend were able to give us the inside scoop so we could have an even better day than planned.

We're Back!!

We are back from our amazing and most fun family vacation EVER!!!!! Pictures will come later on this week. But I wanted everyone to know we are back safe at home, and had a blast. We greatly miss Florida already!
