There is this wonderful skate park that you an see out the window on our drive home from Church. It is pretty big and you can go there and roller skate, skate board, ect...There are big cement U's and loops and jumps and stuff...I have no clue what you call all of them, but it is cool to watch. (the kind of stuff you see on tv). Any way Hannah is just dying to go there and Dan has told her that he'll take her there when she is bigger(!). Which we all know is a Huge joke, b/c she is the biggest pansy in the whole universe!! Anyway there wasn't anyone there tonight when we drove by and she wanted to know why. I told her you can't skate there when it is raining b/c you could fall and break your neck. So, I am thinking like paralyzed, drink out of a straw, and she asks me "well, can't you just glue it back on?"....Kids are SO funny!!!!!

Robot
So, we were driving to church 2-3 weeks ago and Hannah started having a cow about how she had just seen a robot/Transformer!!! There's a Robot/Transformer in down town momma, Dada look!! Well, it took several drives to church after that to figure out what she was talking about...lol. But we finally did "See" the robot. It is pretty funny actually. But here is a picture of the robot/transformer in our down town. We have to look at each time we go to church! It's like the highlight of our drive!
For those of you here in town it is located on top of the old Cissell building on the right side of 65S right before you exit St. Catherine's. I can't tell you how hard it was to get a good picture of it too.
Easter Pics
I guess it is time for more pictures huh? I have kinda been slacking lately on my picture taking. Actually, I think we just haven't done much! Here are our Easter pictures.

Here she is at the egg hunt. She was a bit more aggressive this year than the past few years. I was surprised at the difference 1 year makes.

Thanks Grandma Linda for the ears!!!! Hannah wore them for about a week straight!
We let her wear them to Wal-mart, and I swear it took twice as long to get the grocery's b/c we were stopped by almost all the other shoppers!!!! Not to mention that was the day they were handing out pink frosted cupcakes instead of plain sugar cookies...Made for a HUGE disaster. We had to buy baby wipes to let her get in the van.
Off the subject! (yet still about free cookies)They don't give your child a free cookie at Sams anymore b/c some kid almost died of an allergic reaction. Scary.
Gotta love that "smile"...Thanks Diffey's!!
This is Hannah's new top and sweater. She wore this to the Good Friday service. She has always looked good in green. I am thinking almost all of Dan and My's favorite outfits for her have been green. Hmmm....
Why is the American alphabet/phonics so odd?
I am trying to teach Hannah sounds and letters, and today we encountered a difficult to explain situation. She was sounding out the letter C, then I asked her what starts with the letter C. Cat! Ok, then she goes on to say Kitty...well, NO, kitty begins with a K. But they are the same thing!!!!!!! Weird huh? She couldn't understand, so we moved on. But anyway, it makes for a challenge on my part!
Dan is teaching her Hebrew. It seems like they(the Hebrew language people) have their act together. Crazy...

Today is donut day in the front office!!!! We haven't been to one since November, and are very excited. Since we don't buy donuts this is always a very special event for us each month.
Then we are off to Play Group. I'll write more later...gotta go eat!!

PS
Hey- especially if you are a relative!!! We aren't telling Hannah about the trip to Florida yet. So don't say anything to her.
Thanks!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!
Update
So...I thought I'd give you an update as I sit here and eat the rest of a bag of chocolate chips. (yikes huh?) It has been a while since my last official "update." (maybe Christmas?)
We had a wonderful Easter. It snowed and was very cold! It was cold last year too. I remember we had to put on an undershirt for Hannah's new dress then as well. This year her Aunt Kara had bought her a cute new green dress, and I was able to find a pretty green sweater at Wal-mart for $6 to match it!! Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of her in it. So, you'll have to wait until the next time she wears it...and pray that I remember to photograph her in it!! It really is a bummer too, b/c I had new clothes on and Dan was dressed up as well. O well.
I think it may have been that we were too concerned about getting to the restaurant afterwards...A whole bunch of us went to lunch afterwards. It is our Easter tradition 3 years running now to eat out with a group of our friends. We have a ton of fun!!
Next week we are going on a mini family vacation!! We are pretty excited. We have never been on a real family vacation. (the kind where you stay at a hotel and DON'T see relatives)!! We have been saving up, and are going to go to the local zoo, and aquarium, and (of course) shop! After we get home, we will start our vacation "jar" over again, b/c next year....Drum roll please....we are going to FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!! Hannah will be 5 then and she is SO excited to go to the Disney Castle. Plus we have several sets of friends who live there or are from there, so it is going to be a lot of fun.
My sister is coming to visit in 19 days.
And my next Dr apt is Tuesday. I am 27 weeks this week, so 13 to go!!
Dan just finished a huge paper. He has 2 or 3 more, I can't remember. We went out to eat last night to celebrate. We had a gift card to Out Back. It was really good. Hannah didn't like the "bloom'n onion" though. But she did eat ALL of the bread they brought!! (with a crazy amt of butter too). Then we went to Baby's-R-Us and were able to get our $10 gift card for registering there. They were out when I went to register a few weeks ago...Then I went to bible study (and had the most amazing fruit pizza). Hannah was put to bed early for bad behavior!! Which actually had started as I was leaving. Lucky me, poor Dan!
Calvin is doing great. He is getting pretty big. I'll try to get a new picture of myself to post soon. We were thinking about having a pre-Calvin family picture taken...but I'm not sure if I want to spend the money. I may find a friend to do it.
Hope you are all doing well. I think that just about covers all the Diffey Highlights from the past few weeks/months. Of course I blog everyday about the little stuff...so you already know about that. This was just some pretty random thoughts about our life here.
have a great day!!

Hallelujah!
Hello,
I thought I would share with those of you who don't go to our church. Here is a little tid bit from our Good Friday Service. We gathered Friday evening in remembrance and thanksgiving of the Sacrifice our Lord Jesus Christ. We read several scriptures including the Passion Narrative from Matthew 26:36-27:55, then we reflected upon them from various Psalms. We also sang some songs such as "The Power of the Cross" and "How deep the Father's love for us." It was a wonderful service and a nice time to reflect honestly on what God did for us! This is truly the greatest gift He has given us. I would encourage each of you to reflect upon this tomorrow as you enjoy your day. Please read the Matthew passage and be reminded of how much was sacrificed for us. And take time the thank God for this gift of free salvation. I know I have a hard time remembering what He has truly done for me!

JWV
Congratulations to our really good friends Josh and Cari (Benny's Parents) on the birth of:
John William
9lbs
21 inches long
We are SO SO excited for you!

97 days to go
Calvin now weighs about 1 2/3rd lbs. and measures 14 inches (roughly the length of an English hothouse cucumber), from head to heel. His weight will more than triple between now and birth as he rapidly puts on baby fat. He'll need that fat to help adjust to colder temperatures outside the womb and as a source of energy and calories in the first days of life.Monday, March 17, 2008
Green Day
"Green Day" (as she is calling it) is going well!! Dan and I both got our pinches on Hannah before she changed. She is having a blast, esp. b/c Dan didn't wear green(of course he is doing it on purpose!). She even took her Green bear with her to the post office this morning.
I am seriously considering doing a color day every couple of weeks. Who knew this would be so much fun?

The "Pinchers" are out!
We were stopped at a red light yesterday and there was this huge bunch of green balloons in front of a restaurant/bar/pub place. Of course they caught Hannah's eyes and she wanted one, so I went on the explain why they were out there. (St. patty's day). I explained that everyone was going to be wearing green and if you didn't people would pinch you. It was SO cute to see how excited she was/is about this. I just put her to bed and we spent about 10 min picking out her outfit(shirt, socks, and underwear!!). She is SO excited. She is also concerned that Daddy is going to forget to wear green. I bet secretly she is excited to pinch him. He called while I was putting her to bed and I told him he'd better wear green!! It was pretty funny. I'll take some pictures and post them tomorrow....And a HUGE thank you to Candace for having a green shirt in the bag of maternity clothes she loaned me!!!!!!! Who knew I'd need one?
My friend Cari is in labor today! I am very excited for her. She is Benny's mom.
We are going to see Horton Hears a Who tomorrow with our down stairs neighbors!! I think I am more excited than Hannah is. I have wanted to see it since I saw the preview. Plus it is getting great reviews. I'll let ya know.
