Yesterday Hannah and Calvin went for their yearly Dr apts. Hannah weighed in at 39lbs and 45inches tall. Calvin weighed in at 25lbs, poor thing has lost a pound. I am wondering if he will slim up and be skinny and tall like his sister. Hannah failed her Iron test and is anemic. Surprise Surprise....Like mama like daughter. I have suffered from Iron deficiency's for years, so this doesn't shock me at all. What does shock me is amount of money you have to shell out to get her the proper Iron supplement. Why can't she just swallow a horse pill?...just kidding:)
This afternoon we are signing on our house. We are pretty excited still. We wont have Internet for a while there so I wont be able to update as often. I will still update though.

the BIG 5
Happy Birthday Hannah Jo!!
Today Hannah celebrates 5 years of life. It is amazing to me how fast time flies. There will be no more pictures on my blog until after we move. We have already packed the computer with the pictures on it. So, you can just imagine what she looks like...most of you saw her yesterday:)
Today we are going to have pancakes and chocolate milk for breakfast, then her friends are coming over(b/c I am babysitting them) to play, then this after noon we are going to be playing with more friends who are in town for the convention. Then she has a play date this evening. So even though we are not having a party this year, her day is going to be filled with friends and cake and presents.
Her favorites this week are coloring masterpieces, "reading" books(she can't actually read...), playing with Bubby, and helping me pack(she gets to label the boxes for me).
Hannah and Calvin will go tomorrow for their Dr apts. SO stay tuned for their stats.
We should, Lord willingly, sign on our house Wednesday. We are getting pretty excited.

do you know?
Hannah: Do you guys know how they get the water out of water towers?
Dan: No
Me: I bet there is a pipe up there and they get the water to come down through it somehow...
Hannah: No, I think that when you are thirsty you just go up there with your cup and they open the door and you can dip it in and get some water.
Me and Dan laugh...
Dan: Clearly none of us know how to get water out of the tower. But I think Hannah's way is most creative.

Rock n Learn...It works!

I wanted to let you in on an amazing DVD we rented through netflix for Hannah. She has been a little challenging to teach, so we are reaching out to the 90's for some help. Yes, I did say 90's. The box says it was made in 2003, but I am going to challenge that!! You all have to rent it. I have never laughed so hard. This movie was SO made in the 90's. Right down to their dress and synthesizer. But it has some catchy tunes and she has been humming them for the past 2 days:) I just looked on the website http://www.rocknlearn.com/html/phonics.htm
and the DVD $30 new, but you can get it used on amazon for $11.

Happy Birthday Bubby
Today Calvin aka Bubby, celebrates his first Birthday. Friday we had a small party for him at a local park. Calvin has been teething pretty bad this week so he wasn't as thrilled to be at his party as we were. (but it makes for a cute picture) The back teeth are in now, and boy was he a grizzly this week. But the weather was beautiful and we had a lot of fun.
After the kids had played for a while we ate picnic lunches and then had cookies. I had attempted to make him this really cool "helmet" cake, but the bowl I cooked it in didn't cook the middle and I ended up throwing it away and making sugar cookies late the night before. They were frosted green with blue "C's" on top.
He liked the frosting so much that he took a bite of the candle!!
Awww...
Hannah bought Calvin a tonka truck. She wrapped it herself...with 1/2 a roll of tape!!!! It was SO cute. Then when she was done, she realized that the truck had rolled out, so we used "more" tape and re-wrapped it.
Also today, Dan and I celebrate 7 years of marriage!! It doesn't really seem like it has been that long. I love him even more today than ever before:) God has truly blessed us these 7 years. We have 2 beautiful kids, and a wonderful marriage, and soon we will own our first home...Yeah! We will celebrate by having dinner at the Cheese Cake factory. We have eaten there every anniversary except #3. Louisville didn't have one yet and we didn't have the money to drive to Cincinnati...O yeah, and last year. We were in the hospital, but we did make it a few months later.(does that count?)

Our house-pre remodeled
Yeah. Pictures of the house!!
Here is the kitchen. We are going to paint ALL of it and re-do the floor.
Backyard. Hannah is looking forward to getting backyard toys and a "small" pool.
This if off of the kitchen. It is the "Mud Room" and the back door.
Garage and more backyard
Kitchen.
We think we will have to replace the dishwasher and the stove, and possibly the fridge too, to make the resale value go up.

where'd this week go?
It seems like forever since I've made an update. We have been pretty busy with "house" stuff and playing with our friends. Here we are at the Zoo. There is a baby Giraffe this year. He is pretty cute.
They have set a close date of June 26th for our house. We are very excited about this 1-b/c it is only 25 days away and we are SO ready to be in a bigger place. But 2-and more importantly we should be able to make repairs and be out of here before the first of the month!!! And we wont have to pay rent here.
Hannah holding Baby Ruth.
Calvin gets to sit facing forward now!! He loves it. He doesn't fall asleep as fast now. He seems to like to be doing what Hannah does. He frequently pitches a fit if she is doing something and he can't.

on the go
Another super cute movie of Bubby "scootching" This is the first video of him, taken about a week before the one below. He has perfected the scootch in the video below and you can tell that he is FAST now!!
Don't you just love the fat rolls??
M&M fun
Here it is!! You have all been waiting for it...Calvin's "scootch" It is unlike anything we have ever seen.
I'm innocent!!
The following exchange took place last night.
Calvin: Wah!!!!
Me: What happened?
Hannah (with baseball bat swung over shoulder): Nothing Mom! He just fell over...But look I picked him back up and now he's all better. I am so serious.
Me: really? Did you push him over with the bat?
Hannah: no
me: Are you sure? What were you doing with the bat?
Hannah: Nothing! I was just hitting him in the tummy. He really likes that!!

Where's mine?
This afternoon we went to Indiana to the Supper Wal-mart there after Church. I had made sandwiches for us to eat on the way. Calvin slept the whole way and had no clue that we were eating. I had told Hannah that if she ate her sandwich and apple she could have a cookie. It ended up that she ate the cookie on the way home. So, as we were on the highway coming back I leaned back handed her her cookie. Thinking nothing of it. About 3 seconds later we hear this horrified crying coming from Calvin! So we turn around to see what is the matter and he is sitting there giving Hannah this "look". It was SO funny. I then handed him a cookie and he was SO happy, you should have seen how his face lit up. Needless to say I wasn't thrilled at him eating a chocolate chip cookie in the van. He had to go straight to the tub when we got home!!! I think this is one of those stories (now that I am writing it) that is really more funny to me than it will be to you. You should have seen his face though!

Friday
Today our house had the inspection done. There is nothing wrong with it except a few cosmetic things. We were pleased and hope to set a move in date for the beginning of July. We found out that there isn't an outlet in the Bathroom!!!! WEIRD! And there wasn't a door on the room where we are going to put the kids! How did we miss that? We are so excited to move in. We have been having fun picking out paint and figuring out what floor to put in the Kitchen, ect...
The kids were weighed this morning at our WIC appointment. Hannah is 37lbs and Calvin is 26 after I subtracted for a wet diaper and clothes(which means the scale said he was bigger!!!!). No wonder I can't get out of bed in the mornings...
