happy T day!

I am proud to say that Calvin has slept through the night the past 2 nights!!!!! Hopefully this becomes a regular event. He is doing well with the helmet. He had another check-up yesterday and some minor adjustments were made in the pressure points, and we return in 2 weeks for another check-up.
Hannah lost her sparkle ball...It is rather funny. She is So sporadic in her bowling. It is kinda funny, we have her believing that "Oodles of Noodles" is more than"infinity"! She will always ask us how much we love her and we will tell her an amount. It sounds odd to limit your love, but that is how she thinks right now so we are just going with the flow. Any way Dan had told her he loved her infinity which was sparked by her asking what the most love is. So than the next day she told me she loved me infinity and that is the highest love. Not wanting to be second I quickly came up with the Oodles of Noodles as being even more and she total bought it! So the next day after that she told Dan...he just laughed, and told her mommy is crazy. Ok...so we are pretty lame parents! We think it is cute:)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Taggie

This is what a Taggie looks like. I had noted the other day that I am making them...This is just a photo off a website, (some people have asked what they are) mine are green and yellow. I can post a picture of mine as soon as they are done.

Go Hannah Go

Hannah now has a sparkle ball on Wii bowling!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is SO excited. She actually beat me 3 times this morning and Dan twice to get it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We went to Chili's this afternoon, and it was the first time Calvin went w/o his baby car seat. We "thought" he would lay on the booth and chill....NOT! He was having it. We had to take turns holding him and eating. He can't sit up yet so we couldn't put him in a highchair. He was happy as long as we were holding him and he was banging on the table or trying to attack (and mean attack) the food!! Hopefully he can sit up next time we go out...
All nighter
Go Calvin!!
He slept All night with his helmet on!! Yeah!
He is continuing to do better each day. He does have a nice red blotch on his right cheek though. I have been keeping a lot of lotion on it. They say red marks are normal, and we do go back Wednesday for another fitting.
Its cold here
I feel like I should have more to say since I haven't posted since Thursday. But...there isn't a whole lot to post on. We haven't done a whole lot. We went to Sams today, and our new Jo Ann's yesterday. I have been in craft mode all week. I finished a baby blanket, made a knot blanket for Calvin, am almost done with a scarf and made 2 taggie blankets. The taggie's are stressing me out b/c the tags aren't sewing on straight. I have a whole new appreciation for people who make Taggie blankets. Other than that we haven't done anything worth reporting.
O, I did write our Christmas letter. All I need to do is take a picture of the kids and it is good to go. I am shooting engagement pictures Tuesday. And we are going to Chili's Monday(they have fajitas for 2 for $12 on Mondays). A bunch of us are getting together Thursday. I am SO excited for turkey!!!!
Calvin is doing much better adjusting to is helmet. He looks like a skate boarder/speed racer. Sunday evening will be his first night to sleep in it and on Monday he will start wearing it 23 hours a day until May-ish. His smile and happy attitude returned today!!! I was afraid he was going to hate us forever. I guess he gave up the "I'm depressed over my new hat" attitude and returned to normal. I am relieved, his smile makes my day everyday. I am a little sad that I can't snuggle with his head or his fat cheeks anymore. I will/already miss that terribly.
I only had one little old man ask me what the helmet was for today. Today was a big outing for us. He was so nice too. I (or Calvin) got lots of strange looks though. I knew it was coming though.
I saw Bond last night with my friend. It was good, not as good as the last one though!! That one will be hard to beat. I didn't enjoy the sand ladies at the beginning! And I thought it was very odd that they were all driving Fords.
let it snow...
Another fabulous photo by Hannah!! My smile is a little scary though:)
Awww! Calvin and "My" Rabby. I have had this bunny since I was 4months old!!!
It is snowing again! Hannah has been watching out the window and is excited it is finally starting to stick...(I'll use the word stick very loosely).
Calvin is doing much better today adjusting to the Helmet. He will cry when you put it on him, but can be consoled in about 5 minutes! Tomorrow he will wear it 6 hours and off 1. Today was 4 and off 1. He still doesn't like to wear it while he is sleeping, but he wont have to do overnight until Sunday. They gave us this week long program to work him up to the 23 hours.
we LOVE Daddy
Our future Manning!
He is doing pretty good. I think he forgets it is on most of the time. He DOES NOT like taking it on and off though. They only came in baby blue and pink...Our pediatrician had said we would get to choose our color, but that was not the case. His Orthotics Dr chose it for us. (like we would have chosen pink) O well...I do so hate the color baby blue!!
He is SO cute in it though. We are definitely rooting for him to play football in HS.
Bitter Sweet....
Tonight is Calvin's last night w/o his helmet. He gets it tomorrow afternoon. He tried carrots tonight! and totally loved them. He ate well more than I thought he would. Any suggestions on a good bib that wont leave stains and is easy to wash?
Hannah and I went to the dentist today. She sent home a little toothbrush for Calvin!!! "As soon as you get teeth they start getting cavities!"- Yikes. I told her I didn't really start brushing Hannah's teeth that early and she scolded me.
It snowed here today!!!! Hannah was pretty excited. Just Flurries though...
Thanks to Daddy, Hannah and I had the following conversation tonight while I schooled her in Wii bowling:
Hannah: Do you know what another name for underwear is Momma?
Me: Bloomers?
Hannah: No silly...Wedgie!!!!! (then she busted out laughing like it was the funniest thing she had ever heard)
Needless to say, I did correct her thinking!
PS--
Calvin has been eating baby food this week! He loves it...of course. They kid eats anything! It took him a few days to get the hang of it, but tonight he ate 1/3 of a small jar of banana's.
Helmet time!!
Hello,
Wondering where we have been all week? Calvin decided not to sleep laying down Wednesday evening, so I had to sit on the couch all night with him. While keeping him propped up I was able to get a few scattered 1/2 hours of sleep. I decided that this was the final straw. We had thought 3 weeks ago that he had Bronchitis or something but the Dr's said he was fine....WHATEVER. I took him in again on Thursday afternoon and they officially diagnosed him with it. Finally!! They gave him some serious meds and w/in a few hours I could tell a huge difference. He is almost all better...BUT, I have been pretty sick with a head cold since Friday. Dan came home from work yesterday and took one look at me and said "you look terrible"...yeah, I felt it too! Today I am much better. Hannah started getting a fever yesterday afternoon, and is a little stuffy today, but nothing serious yet. She is taking a much needed nap right now.
Needless to say, the 3 of us had to stay home from church this morning. Hannah was pretty bummed b/c she says she was getting a treat in SS this morning. I'm sure they will give her one next week.
Dan has been teaching the youth. They really like him. This Thursday he is teaching for one of his professors. (He gets paid too). He is almost done with the semester.
Hannah is still acting up...I wont go into much detail, as those of you who know what I am talking about will get it. The rest of you---sorry. :) Just PRAY for her!!!!
Calvin started favoring the left side of his body about 3 months ago. He will always turn his head to the Left, and not Right. It has progressively gotten worse over the past couple of months. We have tried everything. Propping him on the Right, we even got a donut pillow for him...but none of these things helped him. He wont even look Right at the TV. His Pediatrician sent him to the kids hospital for X-rays to make sure there was nothing wrong with his bone structure. There isn't. Praise the Lord!! Then they sent us down town to a Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated for the possibility of getting a helmet. The Dr. and his staff measured his head and when measured in an X across the top, there is a 2cm difference. When measured from ear to nose, there is a 1 ½ difference. His left ear sits much closer to his nose. This is considered moderate to severe! We then took him last Monday to the prosthetics Dr to be measured and fitted for the helmet. We take him back on Tuesday to pick it up. He will have to wear it for 22 hours a day until they say otherwise. Please pray for “Bubby” as he is getting over being sick and now getting a helmet. They say it takes a few weeks to adjust.
Go Colts!
ikea
WOW, what a store!! You guys have to go to one if there is one near you. The nearest one to us is in Cincinnati. (108 miles) We went yesterday and I loved it. It is like Target only cheaper and there is WAY more stuff! I think we were in there for over an hour! We bought the kids another toy box. Dan had bought Hannah one 3 1/2 years ago when he was at the one in LA. We love it, and wanted another one. I highly recommend this store if you head up to Cincinnati.
