ThanksGiving.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We sure did. My turkey came out great. It was very juicy and the rest of the food was amazing as well. And Dan even got his brown-n-serve rolls this year. They were out last year...which didn't go over well.
Here is a picture of the little turkeys we made to sit by the name cards. Only we forgot to put them out!! O well, we still ate them! Dan made fun of us because they didn't have a gobble.
Here is a picture of the table after we set it. Looked good, huh?

Buying a Turkey...
Here is a pretty funny story on my Turkey buying experience last night!! I was in the check out line and these "old" ladies behind me (the kind that go all out every Thanksgiving and have cooked over 50 Turkeys themselves) asked me "how many people I was going to feed with the Turkey I was buying?" I told them 5 adults and 1 child. They pretty much laughed their heads off at me!! I had a little 3lb breast. Everyone else had told me to just buy a breast, and that they were easier to cook. So much for that advice!!! Needless to say...I had to go back and get a bigger Turkey. We should have enough now.
Happy almost Thanksgiving.

Bye Bye....
This afternoon we returned to the Yongs their washer and dryer. I'd like to give a special thanks to the Yongs for allowing us to use them this year! You guys have saved us time and energy and money. You are truly a God-send. We appreciate it very much.
Thanks also to Si and Rich for your man-power and Rich for the truck.

Hannah and I had a nice time watching the guys. I even took a video, but after 2 hours of uploading, Dan and I decided something was wrong! Sorry you'll just have to miss out on that. You can watch it on our computer if you really want to...

Car issues
Good afternoon!
We had a great laugh this morning on the way home from church. Our car wouldn't start, so some of the guys, helped us out. The engine wouldn't start so they tried to wash off the battery, then they tried to push our car down the hill to get it started. Which didn't work, so we were stuck blocking the exit. lol. It was so funny because their knowledge of engines varied from the few that were standing there looking macho(the ones who don't even know what an engine looks like), to the 2 that were actually digging tools out of their trunks. As it turns out all we need to do is replace a little $1.50 piece on the battery. Thank You God!! Also thank you God that this happened at church, so that everyone who knows about cars there (2) were able to help us! (the rest were there for moral/laughing support) I wished that I had my camera with us so that I could have taken pictures or a short movie. It really was the funniest thing. Just picture our car in the drive at church with all the guys in their Sunday clothes attempting to fix it. O...and Hannah crying b/c I told her we might have to spend the afternoon at church b/c our car wouldn't start!!

Fall Update.
WOW,
I can't believe it has been almost a whole week since my last blog. Sorry. We have been pretty busy. There are only 1 1/2 weeks left for this semester!! I am very excited about that. Then Thanksgiving, which will be at my house this year!! Yeah, we have several people coming, so that should be fun. I am excited to cook my 2nd Turkey ever. My poor roasting pan needs to be used again.
Dan graduates on Dec 7th. Which we are all so excited about, and very proud! Then in January he will start his PhD work! No break...But that is cool with him. He's been a student since I met him so nothing new here!!
Hannah went to the Dr. Monday for her 3 yr check-up. Don't laugh!! I know she is 3 1/2....Sometimes I forget. She did wonderful for the measuring, weighing and basic exam. Then the Dr went to look in her ear, and Hannah flipped out. I had to pin her down with my leg and arms while the Dr had to pin her head and check her ears!!!!!!!!!!!! It was incredible. Then she had to get the Flu shot. But that actually went well. I think the shot lady had more experience with "flipping out." It was a 2 part so we have to go back in 1 month...which I predict will not go well, seeing as she will most likely remember the first trip. But they gave her candy, so who knows!!
Hannah has been struggling lately with hitting and pushing. So do be in prayer for her...and us. Pray that we can deal with each situation accordingly, and that we are teaching her truths as well. Sometimes it can be so hard to remember that not only am I correcting her unacceptable behavior, but I am to be pointing her to Christ as well. It is so easy to just punish and move on! I do believe she is starting to develop an understanding of what a relationship with Christ is, I can see growth in her every day. So, do be praying for her salvation...as well as your own kids too!! She is always asking us questions. Sometimes pretty deep ones. And she is pretty obsessed with "who" and "what" is dying and going to heaven. It is kinda cute on some levels, but sad on others. I never thought I'd have to explain why certain people aren't going to heaven!!! You just don't think of all these things when you go to have a kid.
I have joined a Womens Bible Study at church this year. I am pretty excited, because I wasn't able to do one last year.
Here are the verses for this week. Sorry it has been so long. I was behind, that is why you are just know getting them!!

Teeth cleaning
Yesterday was Hannah's second dentist appointment. She didn't do as well as she did last spring, but I'm wondering if it wasn't the cleaning girls fault...Hmmm...who knows. Plus she had to sit there by herself this time, not on my lap. I was really glad to get pictures this time. Last spring they simply asked her after they did me, and she said "yes". So I was totally unprepared to get pictures. This time she had her own appointment.
The little circle mirror was her favorite! She held it the whole time they cleaned her mouth. And while they were doing me, she got to hold the magnifying glass and was carrying it all over the office looking at things. Speaking of that...that is the only bad thing about taking her. She kinda roams the office while my teeth are being cleaned. And there is nothing I can do about it!! O well, they all love her there.
Enjoy.

Maggie's BD
Happy
November!!
This is Hannah taking off her blind fold after pinning the slipper on the princess. Last night we went to a Birthday Party for Maggie, a friend from church.
Here are all the kids getting ready for the pinata! Hannah took one swing and then totally freeked out. It was pretty funny. She can be such a wimp sometimes.

I've Been Tagged!!
I've been tagged. The game is, I have to write seven things about myself that is funny/weird/quirky. Hmmm...shouldn't be too hard. Also I am suppose to tag two other bloggers to do the same...But seeing as I am the last one, I'm not going to!
OK, so here it goes.
1 - Once when I was pregnant with Hannah, Dan and I were at the drive up window at Pizza Hut. We had asked for a little cup of marinara to dip our crust in to. The girl said it was going to be 25cents, and I totally lost it. I started bawling!!!!!!!!!! Over 25cents! Dan doesn't let me forget it, each time we go, he's like "Don't worry if it costs extra, we can afford it!"
2 - I went to an N'sync concert my Sr. year in HS. (should I explain this one? or just leave it....Hmmm)
3 - I am VERY VERY anal about the covers. Nothing makes me more irate than if the covers get messed up. I also have to have them perfectly around me at all times during the night!! WOW.
4 - My first pair of glasses were bright RED, the plastic kind that were big and took up your whole face!!!!!!!!!!! I ought to find a picture and put it on here someday...
5 - I was in the Art club in HS. The kid that sat next to me had a crush on me. I think it is because we had the same Birthday.
6 - I love Dark chocolate, Chinese, coke, and Chick-Fil-A.
7 - my favorite store to shop in for 10+ years now is GAP.
Hope you enjoyed this. Now you know more about me than you did 7 minutes ago. Have a great day.
